Stro
Vledder is a very beautiful farm in the province Drenthe (NL) with all sorts
of plants on the farm yard for making wines like: maple trees, birch trees,
fruit trees and fruit bushes ( the blood pear, different apples, cocking-pear,
black berry, currant, blond raspberry, elderberry and cherries ). Last year
Robert van Kralingen
the owner of this farm invited Robert Berger to inspect some fruits from the
trees and bushes. Robert Berger was very surprised about the quality and all
the exceptional types of fruit. They decided to make wines from all these delicious
fruits. ( note: not all these products are available every year because sometimes
the weather situation gives no results for a good harvesting or trees are still
too young)
After some try outs last year we are proud to present the first Chateau Berger wines from the farm Stro Vledder. This year we begin with the maple wine and the birch wines which you can find under this story. Wines from blond raspberry, pear and elderberry are coming later this year. Under this story you can get more information about the first four wines.
