Robert Berger
The
artist Robert Berger started off his career by playing in several bands like
Ready Kilowatt, Dandylion and Activator. These bands had signed recording contracts
with RCA, Munich and Aztec. In 1986 Robert decided to embark on a solo career, focusing on singing and playing
the piano. He began performing a repertoire of songs which are all composed
and written by himself. Robert then began touring through the Benelux countries,
France and Germany, giving around 100 to 150 concerts per year. He performs
a wide variety of music mostly written by himself, including rock, ballads and
blues. Robert delivers a sensational show which incorporates many sensitive
and moving piano solos. With his magnetic voice and unique personality Robert
lures his audience into a magical atmosphere. Besides performing and writing music, over the last few years Robert has also
been gaining recognition through performing several surprising and impressive
stunts as: traveling from the Hague (Netherlands) to Gambia (Africa) with his
piano in a Mercedes-Unimog ATV, performing all along the way, including in the
desert 1998/99.. And presenting his CD by playing the piano while riding in
a hot air balloon at the balloon festival of Joure, Netherlands (with 10.000
spectators)(2000). An Africa trip from Amsterdam To Timbuktu with the Holland
Africa Tour (HAT) (2002/03). And last year an African expedition with Stichting
Experiencing The World (SETW) from The Gambia to Niger(2005). These events
received quite a bit of media coverage. Robert has recorded many songs - solo songs as well as songs performed with
bands - in professional studios. These songs can be found on the following CDs:
Future Time, Europe
meets Africa and Endless Way. In 2001 Robert started to make up his achive and released the first album in this series with the name Archive 1. In 2003 Robert released an album with his new band 3YO,
in 2004 an album called "Solo"
was released which, as the name points out, is a solo album. In 2005 he produced his first DVD with his band 3YO DVD+Album. A new project had been started at the end of 2005 "Lied op Maat". In 2006 a real rock & roll band has been founded Robby Spiderz Rock & Roll Band an album has been planned for this year. Ending 2006 solo CD "Rock & Roll Is Back In Town" had been released. More and more Robert is creating and designing websites. For years Robert has been making delicious wines ( Chateau Berger ). In 2007 Robert started with musical wine tastings. Because all these different extra creative activities Robert changes his function singer-songwriter to creator. From 2007-2008 Robert was a member of the group Dr bongobrain. In 2008 his band 3YO broke up. Since 2009 besites his solo concerts, Robert is touring with Robby Spiderz Rock & Roll Band.
